AN EXHILARATING new exercise regime sure to put a spring in your step has arrived in Clayton South.
Trampolining arena Flip Out opened in Clayton South this month creating 25 jobs, just 18 months after the first Flip Out opened in western Sydney.
The Clayton South site features four Olympic trampolines, 39 trampolines in the main arena and 44 for young children, as well as two foam pits.
Franchisee and mother-of-two Rachel Bussenschutt said her children Indi, 7, and Ari, 5, were obsessed with bouncing and learning tricks.
“They are with me at the centre every day and they don’t stop, they don’t want to go home,” Mrs Bussenschutt said.
But Mrs Bussenschutt said trampolining provided kids with “accidental fitness” as well as agility, flexibility and confidence.
But she said the centre also catered for adults wanting to take a class or just improve their core strength.
“Classes will be one size fits all, you can work as hard or soft as you need to depending on what you want to achieve,” Mrs Bussenschutt said.
“And there’s a big foam pit that’s super tricky to get out of, so we will have people commando-crawling across it, it will be a love-hate relationship I think.
“It’s just about bringing back a bit of the fun of being a kid.”
Mrs Bussenschutt said there were also plans to introduce classes for mothers and young children.
Mrs Bussenschutt said the opening week had been quieter than anticipated but she was confident the business would take off.
“The concept is great,” Mrs Bussenschutt said.
“To be part of a business that is not only great for fitness but also great for kids, I just thought that was something I wanted my family to be involved in.”
